Creating Your First Estimate
Build professional estimates that convert prospects into customers
Before you start:
- • Have client information ready (name, email, property address)
- • Know your material and labor costs
- • Prepare detailed descriptions of work to be performed
- • Consider equipment and disposal costs
Instructions:
- 1Navigate to EstimatesClick Estimates in the main navigation menu
- 2Click New EstimateLocated at the top right of the estimates page
- 3Select or create a clientChoose from existing clients or click Add New Client
- 4Enter project titleUse descriptive names like Spring Cleanup Package or Lawn Maintenance
- 5Add line itemsClick Add Line Item for each service or material
- 6Fill in line item detailsEnter description, quantity, unit price, and total for each item
- 7Review the total amountCheck that all costs are included and pricing is accurate
- 8Add notes and termsInclude payment terms, project timeline, and special conditions
- 9Save the estimateClick Save Draft to work on later or Send for Approval to send immediately
Sending Estimates to Clients
Get estimates approved quickly with professional delivery
Instructions:
- 1Open the estimateFind your estimate in the Estimates list and click to open it
- 2Click Send for ApprovalThis button appears at the top of the estimate details page
- 3Verify client emailConfirm the email address is correct before sending
- 4Customize email message (optional)Add a personal message to accompany the estimate
- 5Send the estimateClick Send to deliver the estimate to your client
- 6Track approval statusMonitor when clients view and approve estimates in real-time
